In an incident that sent shockwaves, a disabled girl was brutally tortured by three teenage girls who lured her in a picnic spot on Monday. As if this was enough, the offenders recorded the assault on their phone and shared the video on Facebook. The horrifying footage shows the vulnerable girl’s head being bashed into a table repeatedly.      The  disabled girl was lured into the picnic spot thinking that the 17-year-old was going to meet her boyfriend. The seemingly endless torture lasted for 2.5 hours.

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) and the UP police raided and recovered nearly Rs. 96 crores of rupees from a locked house late evening on Tuesday. The notes were made up like a mattress on a bed in three rooms. So far, 16 people have been arrested in this case. Meanwhile, 5 boxes were procured for carrying the notes that amounted to Rs 96 crores. Some time ago, the Meerut Police had recovered approximately Rs 25 crore of old currency notes from an office built inside the house of property dealer and builder Sanjeev Mittal in the Rajkamal Enclave of Paratapur Police Station area.   The action was taken jointly by the Uttar Pradesh Police and NIA. ADG (Law & order) Anand Kumar said on Wednesday, “ We received a tip-off from a criminal in custody that a few people were staying in the hotel to exchange old notes. Local police carried out a raid at a hotel on Tuesday that led to the arrest of few people; they, in turn, gave us valuable information.”

Cheyenne Rose Antoine, 21, shared a selfie on Facebook where she can be seen with her best friend Britteny Gargol, 18, who was murdered 2 years ago. According to BBC, Antoine has pleaded guilty and been given 7 years in prison for manslaughter. Antoine's guilt was proven by the selfie in which she is seen wearing the same belt that had strangled Gargol. The photograph is dated from hours before Gargol died. Gargol was found strangled to death by a belt close to a landfill.   It was reported that Antoine had gone to another friend the same night in which the murder happened in a hysterical state. She had talked about hitting and strangling Gargol. She said that they were under the influence of alcohol and when they had an argument, things went out of control. She hit Gargol and ended up strangling her. She accepts responsibility for the death of her friend but also says that she does not remember the act of killing her.
